The weather’s getting warmer and the days are getting longer!

However, as we start to enjoy the sun, it can be easy to forget how vulnerable our skin is to its harmful rays.

We all know how bad UV rays can be for your skin. Premature ageing and medical skin conditions are the major concerns associated with UV damage but what if there were steps you could take now to keep these at bay?

Well that’s where we’ve stepped in

Here are a few top tips for protecting your skin this Summer:

  • Wear sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays, with at least an SPF of 30. Sunscreen should be worn all year round to protect the skin, not just in the summer!
  • Reapply your sunscreen regularly throughout the day and more if you’re swimming or sweating. (Top tip: Use a physical sunscreen rather than a chemical sunscreen as it will work straight away)
  • Keep your eyes protected with sunglasses that offer total UV protection.
  • Keep out of the sun during the hottest hours of the day, ie. 10am to 2pm.
  • Give your face and hair extra protection from the rays by wearing a wide brimmed hat.
  • Keep an eye on any changes to your skin, ie. Moles and seek medical help if you find anything concerning.
  • Get your glow elsewhere! There’s no need to damage your skin for the sake of a flawless tan. Dedicate a night (or two!) a week to tanning and you’ll maintain a golden glow all Summer.
